Starting therapy can feel like a big step, whether this is your first experience or one of many. I strive to offer a warm, supportive space where you can feel understood, accepted, and comfortable exploring what is most important to you. My therapeutic style is grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and genuine connection.

I am especially interested in helping clients better understand how past experiences, relationships, and emotional patterns may be influencing their lives in the present, creating space for both insight and meaningful change.

Therapeutic Focus: Anxiety, Depression, Self-Esteem & Self-Worth, Stress & Burnout, Relationship Difficulties, Trauma & Difficult Past Experiences, Attachment & Relational Patterns, Emotional Understanding, Adolescents & Young Adults.

Warm, Collaborative & Insight-Oriented Care

I work with adolescents, university-aged clients, and adults who are navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem difficulties, stress and burnout, relationship challenges, and the effects of past trauma. I am particularly drawn to working with people who want to better understand their attachment patterns, emotional experiences, and the ways they relate to themselves and others. My aim is to provide a supportive and collaborative space where we can explore these experiences with curiosity and develop a deeper understanding of the patterns that may be shaping your life.

Approach & Areas of Expertise

I primarily work from a relational psychodynamic perspective, which means we pay attention not only to what is happening in your life right now, but also to the deeper emotional and relational patterns that may be contributing to your current difficulties. This can include exploring how past experiences, important relationships, and recurring ways of coping continue to influence how you feel about yourself, others, and the world around you. By developing a greater understanding of these patterns, therapy can create opportunities not only for relief from current difficulties, but also for deeper self-understanding and lasting change.

What to Expect on Your Therapeutic Journey

In our first sessions, I will work to develop a strong understanding of your experiences through a comprehensive interview. Together, we will identify the concerns that feel most important to address, while also making space to recognize the personal strengths and capacities that can support change. From there, therapy can move at a pace that feels right for you. You remain in control of what you choose to discuss and how deeply you would like to explore particular experiences. My role is to listen carefully, understand your experience, and gently offer reflections that may help you make sense of recurring patterns, relationships, and emotional challenges. Together, we can work toward greater insight and meaningful change in a way that feels supportive and aligned with your goals.

Education & Training

I am currently completing an MPsy in Clinical Psychology at Adler Graduate Professional School, where I also serve as a Student Council Class Representative. I hold a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology from McGill University and am a current member of the Canadian Psychological Association. During my undergraduate studies, I completed two honours theses focused on adolescent relationships and mental health and adult romantic relationships. I later received the Bertha Lapitsky Research Award, which allowed me to continue this work as a summer research fellow. In recognition of my work as a student mentor in psychology courses at McGill University, I received the Tomlinson Engagement Award for Mentoring. I also contributed to a research project at the University of Toronto examining concussive symptoms in a psychiatric sample, which has since been published.

In addition to my academic and research experience, I have worked in a range of clinically relevant settings. I have supported youth in leadership and counselling roles, which strengthened my experience working with adolescents and young adults facing a variety of emotional and mental health concerns. I also gained experience with diverse clinical populations through volunteer work at Friendship Circle and as a Kids Help Phone Crisis Responder. Most recently, I worked collaboratively with a clinical team in private practice to edit psychological assessment reports and contribute to diagnostic formulation.

As part of my clinical training at Avalon Psychology, I am currently supervised by Dr. Brent Mulrooney, C.Psych.
